The President of Georgia congratulates citizens on Georgian National Flag Day. Mikheil Kavelashvili took to social media to honour the significance of Georgia’s five-cross flag.

“I congratulate every citizen of our country on Georgia’s State Flag Day! Georgia’s five-cross national flag is the main symbol of our freedom, independence, unity, and strength. Our country’s five-cross flag is not only a manifestation of statehood but also a visible embodiment of national consciousness, pride, responsibility, and our struggle for freedom”, - writes the President.

He concluded his message with well wishes for the nation, expressing his hope for “peace, unity, and national strength”.
