As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Zugdidi Police Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, M.V., born in 1990, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotics.

The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During the personal search and search activities held in his vehicle and belongings, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of the narcotic drug “Methadone” packaged in 91 packages as evidence.

An investigation is underway into the illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics under Article 260, VI part, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
