National Flag Day is celebrated in Georgia on January 14. In connection with the mentioned date, traditionally, a flag raising ceremony was held in various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The current national symbol of Georgia, also known as the Five Cross Flag, was officially introduced in January 2004.
