With Facebook"s admission, it is now clear to everyone how the radical opposition, their NGOs and funders have turned Facebook into the main tool for manipulating the opinion of the Georgian population, writes the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, while commenting the recent decision of META.

“Facebook’s adoption of a more democratic factchecking practice, similar to X’s Community Notes, is a positive step forward in strengthening the value of facts over the perceptions or outright disinformation.

Just consider this: Facebook, to this day, relied mostly on two Georgian NGOs - Grass [FactCheck] and Media Development Foundation (MDF) [MythDetector] for fact checking. Both of these NGOs were paid millions from foreign governments for this work.

Looks quite innocent on the surface, but…FactCheck is under the control of Sergi Kapanadze (Saakashvili’s former deputy foreign minister and Parliamentary vice-speaker), and MDF is managed by Tamar Kintsurashvili (Saakashvili’s former deputy national Security adviser).

You can only imagine the level of ‘impartiality’ and ‘integrity’ given by these two covert politicians to their factchecking mission”, - writes Shalva Papuashvili.
