The celebration of Italian Design Day in Georgia started with an event at the Kutaisi International University.

The theme of this year`s event, "Inequalities. Design for a Better Life," echoes the theme of the XXIV International Exhibition of the Milan Triennale, "Inequalities. How to Mend the Fractures of Humanity", and aims to highlight the importance of design in reducing inequality and improving human well-being.

The event opened by the Italian Ambassador Massimiliano D`Antuono and the Rector of Kutaisi International University, Giorgi Khubua. The highlight of the event was presentation of the first Bachelor’s program in Design at the university’s School of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Design, which is being implemented in collaboration with one of the oldest public higher education institutions in the world, the Federico II University of Naples.
