The official visit of Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia to Turkmenistan has begun.

A welcoming ceremony for the Prime Minister of Georgia was held at Ashgabat International Airport. The Head of Government of Georgia was greeted by Nokerguli Ataguliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

As part of the official visit, Irakli Kobakhidze will have today a face-to-face meeting with Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan.

An expanded-format meeting will be held between the members of the governments of Georgia and Turkmenistan, led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, after which agreements on cooperation in various fields will be signed between sectoral agencies.

Irakli Kobakhidze is visiting Turkmenistan with a delegation that includes First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songhulashvili, Minister of Sports Shalva Gogoladze, Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
