
The official visit of Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia to Turkmenistan has come to an end.
At Ashgabat International Airport, Nokerguly Ataguliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan bid farewell to the Head of Government of Georgia.
The Prime Minister summarized his visit in a statement to the media.
As Irakli Kobakhidze noted, one of Georgia`s key priorities is to enhance its role within the Middle Corridor, and in this regard, cooperation with Turkmenistan holds particular importance.
"Turkmenistan is a very important country for us, with which we share close and positive political cooperation. We discussed economic collaboration and there is significant potential to further develop our relations in this area. One of Georgia"s main objectives is to strengthen its role in the Middle Corridor, making cooperation with Turkmenistan especially crucial. We had discussions on very specific issues related to economic cooperation. Additionally, our ministers engaged in talks on concrete topics and several important agreements were signed. We believe that this visit will contribute to the development of cooperation, both politically and economically. The potential for economic collaboration is immense and we will pay special attention to fostering this partnership", - said the Prime Minister of Georgia.
