
Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, hosted Mamuka Khabareli, the Chair of the Steering Committee of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival and the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee.
Shalva Papuashvili expressed gratitude to the National Olympic Committee and the Steering Committee for successfully organizing and executing the Festival.
Mamuka Khabareli informed the Speaker that the final report of the Festival, submitted to the European Olympic Committees in Germany, has been duly received. He further informed that the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival “Bakuriani 2025” has been officially recognized as a sports event at the European Olympic Committee General Assembly in Frankfurt.
At the meeting, Mamuka Khabareli, on behalf of the President of the European Olympic Committee, presented the special appreciation award to the Speaker of the Parliament for the unwavering support of the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival and the successful execution of the event.
The European Youth Olympic Winter Festival “Bakuriani 2025” was held from February 9th to 16th in Georgia, attracting thousands of athletes from approximately 45 countries.
