During the face-to-face meeting, the discussion focused on the friendly relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan and cooperation in various fields. The positive dynamics of bilateral political and economic ties were highlighted.
The parties emphasized the importance of connectivity and the development of the Middle Corridor. The Prime Minister spoke about transport and logistics projects aimed at further strengthening Georgia’s transit role. The meeting also covered prospects for further cooperation in the transport and energy sectors.
Irakli Kobakhidze noted that Georgia welcomes Turkmenistan’s active efforts toward ensuring peace in Central Asia and spoke about the peace policy of the Government of Georgia.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders.
It was noted during the meeting that the signing of agreements between sectoral agencies within the framework of the official visit would contribute to the further expansion of cooperation areas.
