Roads in Tbilisi are being cleared following overnight snowfall as temperatures fell to the freezing threshold.

According to the Tbilisi City Hall, the clearing works had started late at night, with about 160 tons of technical salt added on roads throughout the city.

Roads of Aghmashenebeli Alley, Koshigora settlement, Mukhatgavedi Cemetery, Kakheti Highway, Lilo settlement, Vekua and Khizanishvili streets were salted during the procedure.

As the city authorities said, clearing works would continue on sections of city roads if required.
