Kremlin military spending overtakes all of Europe, said President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen during her speech at the European Parliament.

"Putin has repeatedly proven that he is a hostile neighbor and cannot be trusted. He can only be deterred", - said von der Leyen.

She called on Europe to increase defense spending: "The era of illusions is over. We need an increase for Europe`s defense. The range of threats facing Europe is expanding every day. This is more dangerous now, Europe must take action".
