Strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, joint regional projects and matters of economic cooperation were discussed in a meeting between the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Sahiba Gafarova, the Chair of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan.

The meeting emphasized the effectiveness of the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

The parties also highlighted the importance of high-level visits in deepening bilateral cooperation. They also discussed the promotion of the effective functioning of the Middle Corridor as well as underlined the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.

Irakli Kobakhidze expressed his Government`s readiness to contribute to ensuring peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus.
