
Starting this summer’s navigation season, Tbilisi International Airport would add a new route, reported today the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency [CAA].
According to the agency, the Swiss airline Edelweiss Air [part of the Lufthansa Group], would operate flights on the Zurich-Tbilisi-Zurich route.
“The application submitted to the Civil Aviation Agency, flights will begin on April 12, operating twice a week. The CAA granted the necessary permission on March 20.
Edelweiss Air specialises in offering flights to popular tourist destinations, catering to leisure and travel enthusiasts.
The airline’s entry into Georgia’s aviation market will enhance connectivity between Georgia and Switzerland, making travel more accessible and boosting the flow of European tourists to the country”.
