Speaker of the Georgian Parliament said the peace policy pursued by the Georgian Government, particularly on the backdrop of challenges over the past 3 years, had enabled the country to achieve the highest economic growth rate on the continent.

He discussed this issue at the opening of the 17th Economic Forum discussion on Regional Policy and Economic Growth - The Role of Government.

"I emphasised that economic development, in our view, is a matter of national interest. Our primary focus is to ensure that businesses have the opportunity to generate wealth and enhance prosperity.

The peace policy pursued by the Georgian Government, especially on the backdrop of challenges over the past three years, allows us to maintain the highest economic growth rate in Europe.

By continuing exactly this policy and ensuring an environment of economic freedom, we are confident that we will continue to see this result in the future", - said Shalva Papuashvili.
