Prime Minister gets debriefed on preparations for the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival

Prime Minister of Georgia held an organizational meeting in Bakuriani regarding preparations for the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival [EYOWF] - Bakuriani 2025. Irakli Kobakhidze got debriefed on the infrastructural and organizational readiness for hosting the Olympic festival.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the country is fully prepared to host the festival at a high level, with the necessary infrastructure already completed. Specifically, an international-standard ice arena has been inaugurated in Tbilisi, and today, a 3.5 km biathlon and cross-country skiing track will be opened in Bakuriani.

The first delegations of festival participants will arrive in Georgia on February 4, and the first ice hockey competition is scheduled for February 6.

Georgia will host the EYOWF from February 9 to 16. Georgia will welcome approximately 1000 athletes from 45 countries. Competitions in 8 winter sports disciplines will be held in Tbilisi, Batumi, Bakuriani.
