Georgian Dream has completely isolated the country from the civilized world through its efforts. Such a statement made today Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of Strong Georgia, stated at the briefing.
"The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) made a historic decision in Strasbourg, unequivocally backing the Georgian people`s struggle for justice, European integration, and the rule of law.
The resolution passed by PACE limits the powers of the Georgian Dream delegation, laying out essential conditions for Georgia, including the need for new free and fair elections, the release of political prisoners, and thorough investigations into recent violence against peaceful demonstrators and journalists.
This unanimous decision highlights the international community’s support for Georgia’s democratic aspirations.
Instead of recognizing this significant resolution, the Georgian Dream delegation declared its withdrawal from PACE proceedings. Consequently, Georgia is facing increasing isolation due to the ruling party’s actions.
While the Georgian Dream claims a dignified European path, its policies have led to alienation from European institutions. Nevertheless, the Georgian people continue receiving strong support from the international community, ensuring their struggle for democracy will ultimately prevail.
This resolution is pivotal in uniting society, restoring peace, and fostering the country`s development", - said Badri Japaridze.
