Based on the joint proposal of Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia the Order of Honor has been awarded to General Police Colonel Vakhtang Gomelauri, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia along with other police leadership by Mikheil Kavelashvili, President of Georgia for their exceptional contribution to the strengthening of legality and public order in the country.
The award ceremony, which took place at the Presidential Palace on Atoneli, was attended by the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament.
Irakli Kobakhidze congratulated the police leadership on receiving the state award of Georgia-the Order of Honor-and thanked them for their service to the country.
