Michael Roth, Chairman of the German Bundestag’s Foreign Affairs Committee, who arrived in Tbilisi, is meeting with opposition leaders.

Opposition includes Giorgi Butikashvili and Zurab Japaridze [Coalition for Change], Salome Samadashvili [Strong Georgia], and Giorgi Vashadze [Unity-National Movement].

“The Georgian people’s battle has received the most support from our key allies, and Germany has emerged as Georgia’s primary strategic partner in this most difficult phase in which democracy is being violated. Germany assists us in establishing a democratic system. Germany has never been so active in the history of independent Georgia”, - said Giorgi Vashadze before the meeting.

Ambassador of Germany to Georgia also attends the meeting.
