Leaders of the Unity–National Movement, Sopho Japaridze, Levan Sanikidze, and Igor Narmania, held a briefing at the Dighomi detention centre regarding the arrest of the UNM youth organization members near the “Babilo” restaurant.

“Yesterday, members of the United National Movement youth organization were arrested, alongside other patriotic companions, during a peaceful demonstration. We demand the immediate release of those unjustly detained. They did not violate any laws yesterday. It is truly absurd to talk about illegality and lawlessness from the so-called government, which is unrecognized both within and outside our country.

To the arrested, we stand by you – stay strong. This illegality will soon come to an end. Justice will prevail, and we will fight together for the European future of our country”, - said Sopho Japaridze.
