Tbilisi City Council has approved the 2025 budget. The amount exceeds 826 million GEL, which is 62,000 GEL more than the current year"s budget.

The funds will be distributed among the areas of transport infrastructure, construction of infrastructure facilities, strengthening and replacing dilapidated buildings, improving the ecological situation, healthcare and social security, education, culture, sports and youth. The 2024 budget will also increase by 150 million.

The opposition in the City Council is still in boycott mode. Along with the Georgian Dream, only one independent MP participated in the discussion.
