The Political Group "People`s Power" nominated the candidacy of Victor Japaridze to the Defense and Security Committee for the position of Deputy Chair; the Committee unanimously approved the candidate.

Alexander Tabatadze, the Chair of the Committee, introduced the Draft Action Plan 2025. This plan outlines the sequence of actions for considering legal acts and the draft conceptual security documents, hosting thematic hearings with accountable agencies, visiting military bases, and conducting public awareness campaigns on NATO integration.

Grigol Giordgadze, the Deputy Defence Minister introduced the Administrative Agreement between Georgia and NATO on Protection of Exchanged Classified Information; the document highlights the issues, such as the compliance of the classification levels and marking of information; criteria for access to NATO classified information; security of the communications and information systems; the visit procedures etc.

According to the reporter, the enactment of the Agreement will facilitate the Georgia-NATO cooperation.

The Committee gave a positive assessment and approved the document.
