
The Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia, headed by Irakli Zarkua, the Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, held meetings in Turkey. Georgian MPs met with Orhan Tavlı, the Governor of the city of Samsun; Halit Doğan, the Mayor of Samsun; and Hüseyın Tavli, the Mayor of Ünye city.
The meetings were dedicated to deliberations on the cooperation prospects, Samsun-Tbilisi direct flight appointment and twinning of the two cities.
Meetings were held with the Heads and members of the diaspora organizations of Samsun, Çarşamba, Salıpazarı, Ordu, Fatsa and Ünye.
Irakli Zarkua partook in the official ceremony of the establishment of the Samsun Georgian Cultural Society and addressed the attendees, extending his best wishes to a newly established diaspora organization.
The Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia, headed by Irakli Zarkua, is composed of MPs Anzor Bolkvadze and Giorgi Chkonia.
The meetings were also attended by Vladimir Konstantinidi, the Deputy Foreign Minister; Mukhran Gulagashvili, the Director of the Diaspora Relations Department of the Ministry; and Giorgi Tabatadze, the Director of the Consular Department.
