USAID projects in Georgia are being closed. According to the existing information, USAID has closed the election projects of NDI, IRI, ISFED. These organizations are not talking about the decision of the new US administration at this stage.

One of the representatives of ISFED said that if USAID funding is completely stopped, it will put the 3rd sector in Georgia in a difficult situation.

“Foreign donors are our main funders, which is very important for the country. USAID has been the largest donor to Georgia and ISFED for many years. Of course, the termination of USAID’s activities will be very painful for Georgia and other countries”, - said Levan Natroshvili, Deputy Executive Director of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy.
