The Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream claimed "just as the fascist regime had been tried at the Nuremberg trials, so the entire composition of the opposition United National Movement party must be tried".
"There are many people who expected the actions of the bloody regime to be legally named… This is the order of public. Just as the fascist regime was tried at the Nuremberg trials, so the entire composition of United National Movement [UNM] must be tried and everything must be called by its objective name", - added Mamuka Mdinaradze.
As he said yesterday, a temporary investigative commission, which would investigate activities of the former UNM government between 2003 and 2012 would consist of Parliament members and specialists might also be invited.
Mdinaradze also noted that the commission would work for 6 months and prepare a report for Parliament’s review and approval in the 1st session week of September: "The approved report would be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office and other relevant authorities for further action to ensure accountability according to the Georgian legislation".
