Parliament recognizing mandates of 8 new members

The Parliament has recognized the mandates of eight new members, following the early termination of their predecessors’ terms due to appointments to positions incompatible with parliamentary duties or personal resignations.

The new members are:

Levan Machavariani, succeeding Bidzina Ivanishvili
Archil Gorduladze, succeeding Irakli Kobakhidze
Salome Jinjolava, succeeding Irakli Garibashvili
Tornike Berekašvili, succeeding Maka Botchorishvili
Tornike Cheishvili, succeeding Mariam Kvrivishvili
Paata Salia, succeeding Anri Okhanashvili
Giorgi Guguchia, succeeding Mikheil Kavelashvili
Irakli Cheishvili, succeeding David Songhulashvili

These appointments were confirmed during a parliamentary session, following the examination and validation of the nominees’ credentials by the Rules and Procedural Issues Committee. The committee’s chairman, David Matikashvili, affirmed that all necessary documentation was in order, leading to the parliamentary approval of the new members’ mandates.

This development ensures the continued functionality of the legislative body, maintaining its full composition and operational capacity.
