The Trust Group discussed the initial version of the State Budget 2025, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze. He introduced the part of the financial document that provides the special programs attributed to the state secrets and the funds to be allocated therefor.

“It is noteworthy that compared to the budget of 2024, the financing of the law-enforcement and police structures is significantly increased, which was welcomed by the Trust Group, giving a positive assessment of the hereof approach. Also, let me underline that the draft financial document considered at the sitting of the Trust Group is just an initial version and, prior to the finalization of the state budget and in view of the raising of extra funds for the aforementioned agencies, the members of the Trust Group in collaboration with the representatives of the Finance Ministry, intend to hold consultations and working meetings”, - said the Head of the Trust Group, the Chair of the Defence and Security Committee, Alexander Tabatadze.

The meeting was attended by the member of the Trust Group, the Chair of the Legal Issues Committee, Anri Okhanashvili, representatives of the Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry, Justice Ministry, as well as the officers of the State Security Service, Intelligence Service, and the State Special Protection Service.
