Grigol Liluashvili, the Head of Georgia’s State Security Service, and senior officials from the agency paid tribute to Ivane Golashvili, a special forces officer who died during a counter-terrorist operation in Tbilisi 7 years ago.

The ceremony to honour Golashvili’s memory, held at Mukhadgverdi Brother"s cemetery in Tbilisi, saw those in attendance extend condolences to family members of the fallen professional.
Golashvili died while taking part in a high-stakes operation targeting Islamic State terrorist Akhmed Chataev and his group in November 2017.
