“We should expect that in 2030 Georgia will become a member of the EU. the statements made today, tomorrow, the day after that, including by quite important persons, representatives of the existing bureaucracy, representatives of the leadership circles, are relatively less important. We must continue to move in the right direction towards Europe with dignity and in accordance with truly European values and the norms that we wrote in our constitution.

No matter how critical someone is today because Georgia adopted the transparency law, like Canada and France, no one should think of punishing us because of this. Does any of you remember rallies in Canada or slogans “No to the Russian law” and “Canada can’t become Russia’s backyard?” or why did you not cover the rallies in France? Because it did not happen, no one thought of baptizing, a much stricter law in the similar field as Russian. Only in Georgia it became “Russian” and they tried to baptize it as Russian only in Georgia. As for Georgia’s independent decisions, they call everything Russian.

With this, they want to block the independent decisions taken by the Georgian Government, to shame the Government, its electorate.
