The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream, for his “unprecedented charity in returning Ioane Zosime’s unique manuscript to Georgia”.

This is a unique manuscript, which dates back to 979, and it is another extraordinary example of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s unprecedented charity. Bidzina Ivanishvili has been doing this charity for many years. This charity has made a special contribution to the protection and preservation of our cultural heritage and therefore to the protection and preservation of our identity. Special thanks to Bidzina Ivanishvili for this. This unique manuscript of Ioane Zosime will be displayed in our National Museum for centuries”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The manuscript contains the earliest textual witnesses of the Gospels in the nearest dialect of Aramaic to that spoken by Jesus, composed within a living tradition based in the Holy Land.
