With the initiative of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, the Parliament organized the blood donation action on World Blood Donation Day.

Voluntary blood donation is established as a tradition in the Parliament. On this day, Members of the Parliament and the staffers donate their blood to save lives.

“It is the third blood donation held by the 10th convocation of the Parliament. As you may know, donation is an imperative civil act when blood donated by people saves lives. This is a very busy day with high activity – Members of Parliament and the staffers donate their blood for free. I would like to thank each of them and the Blood Bank and call on our citizens, the health state of which is prime, to donate their blood and save at least one life”, - said the Chairman of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, Zaza Lominadze.

The donation action was held in the Parliament by the Blood Bank of the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine.
