As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, three persons were brought to the criminal liability as an accused on the fact of commercial bribery and manufacturing and selling forged document.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, one of whom worked as an inspector in the technical inspection center located in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, in order to receive illegal material benefits, during the process of conducting testing of motor vehicles, in addition to the officially established fee, demanded money from the citizen and took GEL 250 in exchange for a report of positive inspection was issued for the technically defective vehicle.

Investigation is underway under the Articles 221 and 362 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
