The ensembles “Basiani” and “Rustavi” performed Georgian hymns in the Church of St. John the Baptist in Levil Chateau. An important history connects the temple with the Georgians living in Levil.

Ceremonial or funeral events were held here for Georgian families.

On the initiative of Mamia Berishvili, the manager of the Levili estate, the stained glass windows of the temple were made by Givi Meliava, a Georgian craftsman and representative of emigration.
