This 30-page report, which exposes the lies of Georgian Dream in detail, is another cold shower for Georgian Dream. Such a statement made the opposition MP Teona Akubardia, while commenting the report of the OSCE/ODIHR regarding the Law on Transparency.

“Unfortunately, Georgian Dream did not apply to the Venice Commission, nor did it apply for a legal evaluation of the OSCE/ODIHR.

I want to thank the OSCE/ODIHR experts for the legal, quick response to this law. Georgian Dream lied a lot for a month. Full criticism has arrived point by point. It is openly stated that “Russian law” is in no way consistent with American or Australian law, which was cited in the explanatory note.

The most important thing is that OSCE/ODIHR demands the repeal of this law. It is also said that the government should withdraw the law and take steps to bring the legislation in line with international standards. This 30-page report, which exposes the lies of Georgian Dream in detail, is another cold shower for the ruling party.

I hope that the said report, like the report of the Venice Commission, will go to the Strasbourg Court, as well as to the Constitutional Court, and will become an additional basis for the repeal of the said law by the force of law”, - said Teona Akubardia.
