Our Government is ready to establish the relations between Georgia and the European Union, and the United States even closer. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at a meeting with local media representatives.

“Our position is clear - we demand even more relations, even closer cooperation, although, unfortunately, there is a certain restrained position, which may have its reasons, but we cannot call it an anti-Georgian mood. On the contrary, we have an absolutely open policy. We are ready to make the relations between Georgia and the European Union, Georgia and the US even closer. The more steps are taken from the other side, the better. This is our mood and position.

Our request to the US is to ensure visa liberalisation for our citizens. I"m sure it won’t burden the USA, also sign a free trade agreement, and ensure direct flights between Georgia and America. As for the EU, our call is to open negotiations with Georgia in December”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
