Since the night of May 1, the Public Defender and his representatives have been establishing the location of the detainees.

As of now, the representatives of the Public Defender have visited 3 persons detained under administrative rules in Digomi and Avchala detention centers of Tbilisi, as well as the participants in the rally in different clinics. The Public Defender’s representatives continue to visit detainees.

Information about all persons reporting abuse/use of excessive force is being forwarded to the Special Investigation Service.

The hotline of the Public Defender’s Office - 14 81 - works 24 hours a day to receive notifications about the rights violations. The Ombudsman’s Office will periodically inform the public of the visits and relevant results.
