Chairperson of the CEC introduced the electronic voting technologies to the Prime Minister, Members of the Government

The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia introduced the electronic voting technologies to the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Members of the Government of Georgia. Giorgi Kalandarishvili thoroughly spoke about the preparatory process for the 2024 Parliamentary Elections and the technological innovations. A demonstration of electronic voting technologies as well as a simulation of voting were arranged. The meeting participants had an opportunity to firsthand experience the functioning of the verification and vote counting devices in practice.

According to the CEC Chairperson, the Election Administration (EA) of Georgia actively puts its efforts and organizes numerous activities for conducting the Parliamentary Elections by applying electronic devices at high professional level in compliance with international standards. As Giorgi Kalandarishvili highlighted, informing the public about the technological innovations and providing them with education are crucial and stand among the key priorities of the EA.

The Election Administration of Georgia commenced its extensive information campaign regarding electronic technologies a year and a half before the general elections. Demonstrations of electronic technologies are being continuously held throughout Georgia at the places of public gathering, public and private institutions. It is noteworthy that more than 3 000 meetings are held and approximately 400 000 voters are informed for the time being.
