President of Georgia visited the 4th Infantry and 5th Artillery Brigades of the Eastern Command of the Georgian Defense Forces in Vaziani. Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the military personnel and got acquainted with their living conditions and the situation at the base.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief was hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia/Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani, Commander of the Defense Forces and other senior officials of the Defense Forces. The President was presented with a presentation on the structure, tasks and goals of the Eastern Command.

Mikheil Kavelashvili toured the infrastructure of the Vaziani military unit - barracks, infirmary, simulation center and gym.

"Today I was at the Vaziani military base, met with the soldiers of the Fourth Infantry Brigade of the Eastern Command and the Fifth Artillery Brigade, got acquainted with their living conditions and I would like to note with pride that all this is at a high level. Our soldiers have all the conditions to be ready and serve our homeland.

Many thanks to the Minister of Defense and the General Staff for creating all the conditions for our soldiers to be represented at a high level. It is also important to appreciate them in society because they are a proud part of our society and I, as the President, will always support them and will always be by their side", - said the President.
