The President of Georgia held an introductory meeting with the Armenian Ambassador to the country, to discuss further prospects for deepening the “historically strong friendly” relations and partnership between the two countries.

Ashot Smbatyan congratulated Mikheil Kavelashvili on taking the position of President and wished him success in his future activities.

The parties also discussed political development in both countries. They further highlighted the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
