10 reasons to love Tbilisi – EasyJet Traveller publishes an article about the Georgia’s capital.

“The Georgian capital is experiencing a surge in popularity. It’s a fascinating city, where the cobbled streets of the old town reflect its long history and the surroundings hills offer a playground for the adventurous. Here are the reasons Tbilisi is on our bucket list for 2025.

The architecture offers an eclectic mix. Positioned along the Silk Road, and having been invaded by several foreign powers over its history, the city’s architecture is a rich patchwork. There’s everything from monumental soviet buildings, such as the Wedding Palace, to the very Parisian Haussmann style on Rustaveli Avenue.

There are plenty of stellar viewpoints. Tbilisi is a surprisingly big capital, with the city covering an area almost seven times that of Paris. Take it all in with a cable car and get a bird’s-eye view overlooking the Kura river and the caicasus mountains.

It’s a paradise for shoppers. The Dry Bridge Market is the best place in the city to shop and people-watch. Located in the neighbouring parks of 9 March and Dedaena, you’ll find everything from souvenir trinkets and antiques to local art and crafts and books.

The Caucasus mountains are on the doorstep. If seeing the peaks from afar doesn’t scratch the itch, then take a day trip. The mountains are the subject of many legends and make for a refreshing break from the city. Hire a tour guide such as inter Georgia Travel”, - reads the article.
