Zugdidi district court fully shared the evidences submitted by the Prosecutor’s Office and found the accused guilty for the fact of intentional killing committed aggravating circumstances and participation in a group violence.

By the evidences presented at the court hearing it was established that on May 19, 2024, in one of the residential houses in Senaki, the accused armed with a knife inflicted wounds to the victim because of the conflict in the past. The victim died because of the inflicted injuries.

By the evidences examined at the court it was also established that the accused abused other persons who were at the scene and tried to kill them.

Law enforcement officers detained the accused on the same day. He was charged under Articles 19, 109 (sub-clause “k”) (attempt of intentional killing of two or more persons), 225 (part 2) (participation in a group violence), and (part 2) (carrying of a cold weapon by a person who was convicted for a grave crime) of the Criminal Code of Georgia. An arrest was selected against him as a measure of restraint.

Zugdidi District Court found the accused fully guilty in the charge against him and sentenced him to 19 years of imprisonment as a punishment.
