According to the National Environmental Agency, on January 18-20, precipitation, snow in the mountains, strong in some places, blizzards in the high mountains, strong westerly winds are expected in Georgia. On January 19-20, a 4-6-point storm is expected at sea.

The expected precipitation may significantly increase water levels in the rivers of Western Georgia, trigger landslides and mudslides in hilly areas, cause avalanches in the high-mountainous regions of the country.

As noted in the statement of National Environmental Agency, traffic may be restricted on certain sections of roads due to heavy snowfall, avalanche danger, poor visibility [danger level medium].
