Ali Asadov, the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his re-election as Prime Minister of Georgia and the new Georgian government during the opening of the 10th meeting of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

2024 has been a crucial year for both Azerbaijan and Georgia. For the 1st time in Azerbaijan’s history, presidential and parliamentary elections were held on its sovereign territory. Similarly, Georgia held parliamentary and presidential elections. The results of these elections reflected the will of the Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples.

I would like to express my gratitude for this opportunity and to congratulate you once again on your re-election as Prime Minister of Georgia and the establishment of a new government. I am confident that our governments, working constructively and in a closely coordinated manner, will contribute to the development and well-being of our peoples.
