In Samtskhe-Javakheti, in the village of Kekhovani, forest roads are being restored on a section of up to 5 kilometers.
“The National Forestry Agency is rehabilitating forestry roads throughout the country. In the village of Kekhovani, the construction of forest roads is carried out in accordance with Slovenian practice and European standards. The arrangement of forestry roads not only facilitates the access to firewood, but also effectively implements the measures of forest maintenance and restoration and, if necessary, fighting fires”, - said the head of the National Forestry Agency, Kakha Tsertsvadze.
The project “Sustainable Forest Management in the Municipality of Adigeni” is implemented with the financial support of the Government of Slovenia, the Caucasus Program, World Wildlife Fund and Zavita Consulting Consortium.
