Tbilisi hosts International Conference on Comprehensive Approach to Crime Prevention. The Ministry of Justice organized this event to enhance inter-agency cooperation in crime prevention and probation, coinciding with the Day of Crime Prevention, Enforcement of Non-custodial Sentences, and Probation Agency.
The aim of the conference is to promote professional development of specialists, exchange information on services and resources, share innovative approaches introduced in Georgia, such as the PROBBOX, Digital University, and crime prevention courses for school teachers.
The event also serves as a platform for Georgia to learn from the best practices of European countries, aiding in the rehabilitation and resocialization of offenders and the prevention of repeat crimes. Over the 2-day conference, professionals will discuss topics such as probation systems in European countries, state and societal involvement in crime prevention, rehabilitation and resocialization opportunities.
