This year, 18 500 children were enrolled in summer kindergartens, which is a higher number compared to previous years. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“The experience of the past years has shown that the demand for summer kindergartens is growing, and taking this into account, we have increased the number of kindergartens from 45 to 50 this year. This year, 18 500 children were enrolled in summer kindergartens, which is a higher number compared to previous years. In addition, as a result of the project, 3 100 employees of the system will receive additional compensation. Summer kindergartens were financed with 6 million GEL from Tbilisi’s budget.

Registration for the 2024-2025 educational year has begun in Tbilisi kindergartens, and at the moment, up to 2 700 children have registered in the first stage, and 4 000 children in the second stage, as of today. We will meet the new educational year with important news - three new kindergartens will be opened, as well as two rehabilitated buildings will be opened and the return from alternative spaces and nearby kindergartens to a renewed environment will be organized”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
