The Georgian National Film Center was presented for the first time with a stand of Georgia at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival [SIFF].
It represents the richest heritage of Georgian cinema and modern Georgian films and will promote Georgia as the most important country for film shooting.
One of the most important in Asia - the SIFF – is being held from June 14 to 23, and the film market will be held from June 16 to 18.
The Georgian delegation includes directors and producers who will participate in several meetings planned within the film industry, get to know the representatives of different production companies and make plans for joint productions and the development of the country’s film industry.
SIFF is the largest film festival in Asia and the longest-running international film festival in China. Established in October 1993, it is the only Chinese festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, which is responsible for organizing international film festivals, including the most important festivals in the world.
