The employees of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of complex operational measures and investigative actions, arrested 2 people on charges of drug-related crime.

The following persons were detained for the repeated illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs by the group with a prior agreement namely: Sh.D. (DoB 1982) and previously convicted and currently on probation T.S. (DoB1984).

The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

As a result of personal search and search activities held in vehicles and residential apartments of the detainees, the law enforcement officers seized as evidence the narcotic drug “Alpha PVP” and “Methadone” prepared for sale, as well as the necessary items for drug packaging.

The investigation is being conducted according to Article 260 III and VI parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which involves the repeated illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs by a group with a prior agreement.
