Khvicha Kvaratskhelia pledged the squad would enter the upcoming 2024 European Football Championship aiming to qualify for the playoff stage of the tournament with the mindset that “nothing is impossible”.
“We have a good team, we respect our opponents, but we do not look at their names, and we are only focused on our own game. We are not going to Germany as tourists - we want to win. I think opponents are not happy to play against the Georgian national team”, - said Georgian National Team and Napoli winger.
The Georgian team defeated Montenegro 3:1 in a friendly match in Podgorica on Sunday. Kvaratskhelia said this result before the Euros was “of great importance”: “I think we are ready for the championship, [and] today’s win was important - we are going to Germany in a good mood”.
Euro 2024 takes place in Germany between June 14 to July 14 with 24 teams.
