Special Investigation Service revealed 11 facts of disclosure of secrets of personal life and coercion into an act of a sexual nature

The investigation established that for years the accused G.K. had been placing advertisements on the internet, including in various groups of the social network Facebook, where he pretended to be a photographer and used to invite young girls for an advertising photo shoot for women’s bedclothes in a specially selected apartment. In addition to this, in exchange for the appropriate remuneration, he used to invite women into the apartment for the job of nanny/carer and massage therapist as well, he used to introduce himself to the interested persons with fictitious identities, including the names of Nukri Jioshvili and Ivane Jayani, after which he used to enter into communication with them and try to gain their trust.

The accused used to organize a so-called trial photo session with the victims brought to the apartment by deception, in which way he used to fraudulently obtain the photo-video file of the intimate content of the victims. After the photo session, the accused used to try to continue communication with the mentioned women and in some cases, by threatening to spread intimate photos depicting the secrets of their private lives, he forced them to have sex with him. In addition, the accused also threw an unknown substance into the victims’ drinks and had sex with the victims in a helpless condition, during which he used to secretly, illegally videotape and archive sex with the victims. The Special Investigation Service [SIS] arrested the accused on March 22, 2024, based on the court"s ruling, on the fact of blackmailing a 19-year-old female victim. As a result of the personal search of the accused more than 5000 intimate photos and video materials of about 200 females, including secretly recorded ones, which he used to illegally obtain for years.

At the current stage, 11 victims were identified as a result of the electronic information, including photo/video material, correspondence between the accused and the victims, located in the computer devices examined by the investigation and other investigative activities carried out, as a result, according to the resolution issued by the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia and based on the obtained evidence, the accused was charged for an additional 11 episodes of disclosure of secrets of personal life and coercion into an act of a sexual nature.

G.K. was charged under the first part of Article 1571 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The crime shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of up to seven years.

The SIS continues to investigate the case and within the framework of the investigation all cases of all victims will be studied and their rights protected.
