The Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, will sign today the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence”.

After its publication, the Ministry of Justice and the National Public Registry Agency will have 60 days to create a portal for the registry of “organizations carrying the interests of a foreign power”.

After the completion of this stage, registration in the register will be mandatory for a large part of non-governmental organizations and online media, although it is known that some of the NGOs do not intend to obey the law and are working on a constitutional lawsuit.
